I want to tell you about a small company called “Two Guys One Pie”. I’m notsure you will have heard of them because they have a very small premises that isa little out-of-the-way. As far as I know, their only location is in theSanlitun area of Beijing, down a back street, but I’ve heard it through thegrapevine that they may be expanding.

I first knew about the shop through a friend of mine who shares my passionfor pies. A good pie is like gold dust in Beijing, so if somewhere decent opensthat sells them, you can be sure I’ll get wind of it. They do a bit ofadvertising in local magazines, but I think most people hear about “Two Guys OnePie” from word of mouth.

In my humble opinion, they made the best pies in Beijing. They are handsdown the most delicious meat-filled pastry you’ll find this side of Australia!They also have interesting fillings such as Thai Green Curry or ItalianVegetables and are constantly updating their menu to keep people coming back formore.

Considering their humble beginnings, I can only assume their business is ahuge success. Judging by the queues, they must be making a pretty penny. Ontheir busiest evenings, people line up down the street to get a taste of theirlatest offering or old favourites.

The App I would recommend is called Instapaper, which you can download fromApple Store.

Instapaper is one of those tools you didn’t know you needed until you useit. It’s my latest go-to tool for remembering and organizing what I want toread. I think this is useful coz I always find myself browsing the web andhappening upon a story or two that I definitely want to read, but for whateverreason I just cannot read it at that particular moment. Most of this resort tosaving it as a bookmark so you can read it later. But bookmarks are difficult toaccess on multiple computers.

Instapaper allows you to easily save them for later, when you do have time,so you don’t just forget about them or skim through them. While you’re browsingthe web, when you find something you want to remember to read later to click alittle icon in your web browser toolbar. That saves all of the text of thearticle. That’s Instapaper: the critically acclaimed, award-winning app to readweb pages on the go, in the air, or on the couch.

I think the most popular sport in China is table tennis. It doesn't requireintensive facility but only a pair of bats, a table tennis ball and a table, anddoesn’t matter what the weather is, and is also easy to learn. You can findpeople at different ages playing it in the community, even some old people.

Actually, there are several physical benefits of playing table tennis, likeyour reflexes and hand-eye coordination would become quicker and more refined.And the most important is that it can build your body strength. Though I can’tplay it, I often watch table tennis games.

Table tennis is our national ball, and our players have won so many prizeswith their excellent skills. Their games always make us excited, and we areproud of them. I enjoy watching the games, and perhaps I’ll learn how to play itsoon. In a word, this is a sport with a lot of fun. That’s why I think tabletennis is an exciting sport.

When I was five years old, I had an accident and was admitted in thehospital. I was required to stay in bed for at least two months. Days in thepatient ward wasn’t as dull as I expected it to be. Actually the first week wasquite fun. I could watch TV in bed and chat with my fellow “roommates” and myfamily visited me everyday.

But after a while, the hospital gradually started to lose its charm. I wasgetting bored when my Dad showed up. With a hat in his hand, he started toperform magic tricks. Out of thin air, he produced a flower and put it in thehat. Guess what happened next? He made a magic cube from the hat.

I was immediately in love with the magic cube. Time seemed to go muchfaster when my Dad taught me how to play it. Before I knew it, I was runningaround again. Till this day I play it on a daily basis. It always reminds me ofmy special bonding time with my Dad.
